Whether you’re spending your days on the slopes or hiking the Canadian Rockies, you’re sure to build up an appetite when visiting Whistler. The dining scene in Whistler is extremely varied, from laid back pizza joints to contemporary fine dining. Foodies from all over the world are sure to find something that suits their taste buds.

We’ve curated a list of some of our favourite spots to dine in Whistler, keeping in mind some suggestions for those who are travelling with littles and want an option that offers a kid’s menu.

Araxi Restaurant + Oyster Bar

For over ten years, Araxi has been widely regarded as one of the best restaurants in Whistler. Culinary Director at Araxi, James Walt, is known to be a pioneer of “farm-to-table” dining, and poured his principles of seasonally focused meals into the offerings at Araxi. If seafood is your thing, you can enjoy freshly shucked oysters at the Araxi Oyster Bar daily starting at 5pm.

Pasta Lupino

For a more affordable (but still just as delicious) option, try out local Italian joint Pasta Lupino. Enjoy freshly made pastas, sauces, bread, and gourmet Italian groceries. This spot is great for grab-and-go meals - grab a serving or two of their famous Chicken Parmigiana and head back to the lodge to watch a movie.

Rim Rock Cafe

Rim Rock is an iconic, locally-loved spot to dine in Whistler, known for its game and seafood offerings. Reviews often boast of excellent service, delicious meals, and a relaxing and warm atmosphere. For the wine lovers: their wine list boasts over 350 international labels to accommodate the best pairings for your meal.

21 Steps Kitchen + Bar

21 Steps is a great option for those who want to enjoy elevated, modern comfort food in an inviting atmosphere. It is locally owned and operated and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. This spot has a pretty substantial kid’s menu and can accommodate even the pickiest of eaters.

Creekbread

Although there are many pizza joints in Whistler to choose from, Creekbread is one of the most popular - and for a good reason! This spot prides itself in serving organic, handmade and wood-fired flatbread pizzas made with locally sourced ingredients.
